The new plant included installation of a horizontal pressure filter to remove iron, ion exchange vessels to continue to provide softened water, anion exchange vessels to reduce color, a 100,000 gallon ground storage tank and a new groundwater supply well (well #8). The new water plant also treats groundwater from the City's four existing wells.
