To better serve their clients, make upgrades for their employees and plan for future growth, Pinnacle Actuarial Services decided to construct this new office park on the east side of Bloomington, IL. Early in the design process, P.J. Hoerr was hired as the project's Construction Manager to work with the owner and the architect to plan and design the project. The Owner’s goal was to design and build a facility that would have a design life of 100 years.
Disaster recovery, especially for the IT systems, was of major importance to the Owner so redundant systems and safeguards were built into the facility. The design also incorporated several sustainable design features such as a geothermal heating/cooling system, and heat and water recovery systems.
