P.J. Hoerr Quarterly Safety Meeting 2018 | Peoria, IL

Last Thursday May 31st P.J. Hoerr/Summit held their quarterly Safety Meeting at the Peoria P.J. Hoerr shop facilities. Approximately 80 were in attendance. To start off the meeting CEO Bob Hoerr talked about due to the company's volume of work under way safety meetings will be held monthly through at least September. Next Corporate Safety Director Hans Hinrichsen discussed construction fall protection protocols regarding fall heights which require fall protection. Also covered were company safety protocols when working from roofs and guardrail system requirements. Next Ryan Reardon and Jack Buckley from Werner Ladders and Fall Protection reviewed personal fall arrest system components and their capabilities. They reviewed harness fitment and the proper way for putting on a fall protection harness. The meeting concluded with all employees putting on harnesses and instructors verifying the correct fit.

 

During this meeting the company honored Project Superintendent Jeff Oyer who is retiring after 24 years of employment with P.J. Hoerr. Vice President Kirk Anderson talked about Jeff's great attitude and work ethic he brought to work everyday.
