Last evening P.J. Hoerr/Summit Masonry held their quarterly Safety Meeting at the Peoria P.J. Hoerr shop facilities. Approximately 80 were in attendance. Corporate Safety Director Hans Hinrichsen's topic of the meeting was Aerial Lift Training. Items covered included; Operator Requirements, Standard Operating Procedures, Inspection & Maintenance, Fall Protection, Weight Limits, Jobsite Awareness, Aerial Lift Controls, Operation Checklist, Lift Movement Safety, and Safe Work Practices. CEO Bob Hoerr concluded the meeting by drawing a comparison of playing russian roulette to walking past or participating in a potential unsafe act on the jobsite.
