Last evening P.J. Hoerr / Summit Masonry / Van Buskirk Steel held their quarterly Safety Meeting at the Peoria P.J. Hoerr shop facilities. Approximately 80 were in attendance. The topic was forklift training. Corporate Safety Director Hans Hinrichsen discussed forklift safety statistics, pre-operation checklists, and operational concerns. A video was shown to emphasize the importance of safety when operating a forklift. Each company's safety performance was reviewed and safety incentive awards were handed out.
