Today found drywall, MEP rough-in’s, exterior siding, and site work under way. This $12 million Workforce Sustainability Center will help both first-time students and career changers while also building our region’s credentialed workforce to 60% by the year 2025.
In Greater Peoria, 60% of jobs require a credential past high school. Currently, only 40% of adults in the region have a post-secondary credential. The new Workforce Sustainability Center will help to build a credentialed workforce to the needed 60% by offering pre-apprenticeship and entry-level training in the 13 programs most essential to accelerating workforce development and manufacturing in Central Illinois.
The Workforce Sustainability Center will be a tremendous asset for our region’s economy to attract new investment, support, and growth with a ready and skilled talent pool for years to come.
