Many community supporters and stakeholders joined Carle Health for a demolition ceremony to celebrate the start of renovations to the former Heddington Oaks building in West Peoria as they turn it into Trillium Place, Young Minds Center.
The facility will be an inpatient and outpatient center for youth mental health services, bringing much-needed bed capacity to our region. The facility aims to improve outcomes for specialized needs, including autism and addiction.
This new facility will not feel like a hospital, but a healing environment featuring art therapy, music therapies, and outdoor courtyard spaces.
