This project consisted of a complete demolition and renovation of a full-service High School Cafeteria. Approximately 12,000 sq. ft. of demolition and renovation was completed in the course of a 9 week period during summer vacation. P.J. Hoerr implemented a multiple shift approach to complete the work on time and within budget.

Features of the project included adding 40 skylights to the existing roof for natural lighting and installation of approximately $400,000 in Italian ceramic tile. P.J. Hoerr coordinated the installation of all owner supplied kitchen equipment and coolers as well as serving line and other furnishings.
Transformation of High School Cafeteria in Bloomington, IL
The project was completed on a fast track schedule that included a substantial completion bonus which was awarded. The renovation was marked as the high point of the District’s construction projects in recent years.
