Building Renovation For the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka IL

PJ Hoerr completed a building renovation project for the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka IL. The primary purpose of these renovation projects was to modernize their existing skilled care wings. This included increasing room size and including private bathrooms in each resident room. Each project was a complete gut and remodel. Mechanical systems included new sprinkler, upgraded electrical services, new fire alarm, new nurse call, and all new HVAC systems complying with IDPH standards. Between Phase I and II, 24 existing rooms were turned into 16 larger one and two bed units. Each phase included a new bathing room and Phase I included a new nurse station upgrade. The major challenge for these projects were upgrading plumbing and heat piping on the second floor of the building with resident rooms and the main kitchen on the first floor.
