This renovation and addition project was the third project on Perry Memorial Hospital’s master plan. This included a two story mechanical room addition and renovations to the main entry and cafeteria. Also included was a code upgrade to the sterile processing and surgery departments. Each portion of work was conducted while the hospital was occupied and functioning.
Health Care Construction, Renovation, and Expansion
In order to make this happen, the project was split into three phases. Each phase required IDPH submission and approval. This 18-month project was completed two months ahead of schedule due to P.J. Hoerr accelerating the schedule on critical path items and working with the facility to combine certain areas. During the construction and after the completion of this project, P.J. Hoerr also completed various other projects for the hospital on a negotiated basis.
